Abstract
Sixteen specimens of known heights from a Lepidodendron trunk, about 34·5 m long, are described in detail. The surface features show upward change from fissured bark to well defined leaf cushions. These features are discussed in relation to growth patterns in arborescent lycopods. Keywords
