Abstract
Tmesipteris Bernh. is revised in New Zealand including the Kermadec, Chatham, and Auckland Island Groups and four species are recognised, namely T. tannensis (Spreng.) Bernh., T. elongata Dang., T. lanceolata Dang., and T. sigmatifolia sp. nov. In addition, Tmesipteris elongata is further subdivided and a new subspecies, ssp. robusta, is proposed. Detailed descriptions of the species are supplied and their distributions and ecology discussed. Notes on other species are given and features which are considered useful in the grouping of species are introduced, although infrageneric subdivisions are not proposed. Keywords
