Noncausal Propagation of Classical Rarita-Schwinger Waves

Abstract
The Rarita-Schwinger field coupled to scalar and Dirac fields is considered at the classical level. It is shown that the fermion fields satisfy a system of hyperbolic equations supplemented by initial conditions whose solutions propagate faster than light, thereby violating causality.Keywords
