Abstract
The Milani-Comparetti Developmental Examination is a screening assessment tool used by therapist to help determine if an infant has normal or abnormal movement. Since no studies reporting the reliability or validity of this tool have been published, the purpose of this retrospective study was to determine the predictive validity of the Milani-Comparetti Developmental Examination with a small sample of high risk infants. Analysis of the data revealed that the accuracy of this screening tool in predicting motor outcome at two and three years of age is low. Therapist should be cautious in their interpretation of the results of Milani-Comparetti Developmental Examinations until evidence is available that the test meets reasonable standards of reliability and validity. Keywords
