Abstract
Delinquent and non-delinquent girls were classified into the three perceptual types of Reducer, Augmenter, or Moderate according to whether they tended subjectively to alter perceived size. Results indicated a tendency for delinquents to reduce perceived size to a greater extent than non-delinquents. No significant relationships were found between color preferences and perceptual types of delinquents; however, among non-delinquent girls Reducers scored lower on strong color value contrasts (preferring weaker figure-ground contrasts) than Moderates or Augmenters. Augmenters chose strong contrasts more often. Keywords
