Abstract
Transthoracic electrocoagulation (TTEC) of the upper thoracic sympathetic chain is described. In 10 patients the technique was relatively simple and denervation was satisfactory in 9. One temporary Horner's syndrome was produced. The merits of this technique in a preliminary series are compared with other forms of treatment. Keywords
