Abstract
In spray tests conducted against migrating cattle grub larvae (Hypoderma lineatum and bovis) in host animals in the Willamette Valley of Oregon during the fall of 1959, 100% control was obtained in one experiment with a 0.25% concentration of Bayer 29493 (0,0-dimethyl O-(4-methylthio-m-tolyl) phosphorothioate). In the same herd 98-100% control was obtained with Ruelene (4-tert-butyl-2-chlorophenyl methyl methylphosphoramidate) at 0.75% and 75-86% control with 0.5% Co-Ral (0-(3-chloro-4-methylumbelliferone) 0,0- dlethyl phosphorothioate). Bayer 22408 (O,O-diethyl O-naphthalimido phosphorothioate) was relatively ineffective at 0.75%. In other tests with Ruelene at 0.25%, complete control was obtained in one herd but only 73-79% control in another. Sprays containing 0.5-1.0% of Ruelene gave 83-100% control of grubs. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
