Abstract
Summary: Following morphological and anatomical study of 230 species of Poaceae, representing 156 genera putatively of subfamily Pooideae, the subfamily has been recircumscribed in detail. A subfamily description is provided giving frequencies of states for characters; the 148 genera included are listed, and reasons are given for excluding others.Keywords
