Abstract
The error of measuring the total interaction coefficients of turbid media using collimated light transmission was estimated with an analytical expression, which was verified with accurate Monte Carlo simulations. The expression is based on the Henyey-Greenstein phase function of scattering and the probabilities of non-scattered and singly scattered photons transmitted through a tissue slab with a unit anisotropy factor. Keywords
