Abstract
Generalized cutaneous herpes simplex virus (HSV) infection has been reported to occur as a complication of thermal injury.1We encountered a patient with a healing second-degree burn who had Kaposi's varicelliform eruption. From his lesions, we isolated a virus that was probably HSV type 1.
