Abstract
We have recently discovered that the electron emission (EE) and positive ion emission (PIE) accompanying and following fracture of filled elastomers have substantial components emitted in coincidence. We exploit this result by using a time-of-flight method to measure the mass-to-charge ratio and kinetic energy of the PIE from the fracture of polybutadiene filled with glass beads. Keywords
