Abstract
A spectrophotometric method has been developed for the simultaneous determination of 7-aminocephalosporanic acid (7-ACA) and 7-aminodesacetoxycephalosporanic acid (7-ADCA) in mixtures via the second-derivative spectra, using the zero-crossing measurements. The procedure does not require any separation step. Calibration graphs are linear between 4.0–32.0 μg ml−1 of 7-ACA at 276.25 nm and between 4.0–32.0 pg ml−1 of 7-ADCA at 278.50 nm, in the presence of each other. Keywords
