An Experimental Speech and Language Program for Psychotic Children

Abstract
A speech and language therapy program for psychotic children is described. The population studied included children with brain damage, with emotional disturbances but no brain damage, and children who exhibited a mixed pathology. The program was based on the sequence of speech development in normal children. In 5 children more mature vocalization and verbalization was achieved. Both speech and socialization are necessary for progress in psychotherapy.
