Abstract
A single isolate of the A2 compatibility type of P. capsici Leonian, a heterothallic species, was induced to form typical oogonia with amphigynous antheridia and oospores in agar cultures by the presence of chloroneb. Production of oospores continued when the cultures were maintained subsequently on medium with or without the chemical. These results suggest that chloroneb has brought about a permanent change in the ability of this isolate to form sex organs. Cultures also produced oospores when exposed to chloroneb vapor. Keywords
