Abstract
1. A series of thermographic studies were made over various body surfaces that consisted of determining the thermal fluctuation of the body surface subjected to localized pressure. 2. A positive correlation between temperature variation and localized pressure was found. 3. Variations of temperature of the body surfaces are described and discussed. 4. It is suggested that the thermographic instrument may become a useful tool in the fitting of prosthetic devices where localized pressure may be a factor in a misfitting prosthesis. Keywords
