Abstract
Administered the Guilford-Zimmerman Personality Questionnaire and the Cattell Institute for Personality and Ability Testing Anxiety Scale in order to explore the personality of 3 contrasting groups of 27 high school students each: people interested in the theater but no other artistic pursuits; people interested solely in the visual art; and people interested in no form of art. Differences between the 3 groups were obtained on a number of 16 scales. It appears that there is a central set of variables which direct a person towards art in general. The set is accompanied by a greater number of personality variables determining interest in 1 form of art rather than another. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2016 APA, all rights reserved)Keywords
