Observation of very small doubly charged homogeneous para difluorobenzene clusters

Abstract
Double ionization of para difluorobenzene (PDFB) has been observed following irradiation of a supersonic cluster beam at 260 nm. PDFB++n are observed for n ≥ 3: The anomalously small critical size for stability cannot be explained by a simple liquid‐drop model, but is more probably due to specific structures of these clusters.Keywords
