Abstract
Dichlorotris(triphenylphosphine)ruthenium is highly active as a catalyst for the N-heterocyclisation of 2-aminophenethyl alcohols (2a–d) into indole derivatives in toluene under reflux, and the reactions proceed with spontaneous hydrogen evolution.Keywords
