Interdependence and Coordination in Organizations: A Role-System Analysis.

Abstract

The relations between interdependence and coordination in organizations are investigated. Results from a study of 127 work units in 33 organizations indicate that as the level of interdependence increases, the level of coordination and the impact of coordination on unit output also increase.
