Abstract
Mechanism of mode interactions of a nonlinear reaction diffusion equation with nearly degenerate bifurcations has been investigated and its successive bifurcation schemes have also been studied. Bifurcation at a double eigenvalue plays an important role here. Results of a numerical calculation of the equation have been compared with theoretical one. Keywords
