Abstract
Finger ridge counts of three Amerindian populations of the Brazilian Amazonia (Surui-Paiter, Kayapo-Xikrin and Surui-Mudjetire) were subjected to principal component analysis in order to verify the concept of development field (field theory). For both sexes, a clear tripartite divisioning (digit I digits II-III, and digis IV-V) was obtained, corroborating results previously published for other populations. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
