Abstract
The mannose monosaccharide residue in ristomycin A is bound via the C-3 phenolic oxygen of the 1,2,3,5-substituted ring with actinoidinic amino acid. The tetrasaccharide branch is attached to the only phenolic oxygen of triaminotricarboxylic acid. The ristosaminyl residue is linked via 1 of the 2 aliphatic hydroxyl groups of the same amino acid.
