Abstract
Recent observations of small scale features in laser-produced plasmas may be influenced by an instability associated with the density dependence of radiative losses. Dense, cold streams of plasma may be produced between the critical density surface and the solid material, and also at lower densities after the laser has been turned off. Keywords
