Abstract
Eighty-two biopsy specimens of vessels from 37 patients with clinical Buerger's disease were examined histologically and classified. The aetiology of this vascular disorder is discussed and a basis suggested for its pathogenesis as primarily a thrombotic disorder complicated by vasculitis. Thus both acute and chronic lesions are acceptable as entities. Keywords
