Additivity and Eikonal Approximation for Partial-Wave Phase Shifts

Abstract
A proper eikonalization of the radial Schrödinger equation leads at high energy to partial-wave phase shifts linear in the potential. This additivity of phase shifts for overlapping configurations implies strong cancelations in Watson's multiple-scattering series.Keywords
