Changes in the cestode fauna of the black duck, Anas rubripes (Brewster)

Abstract
The cestode fauna of black ducks, Anas rubripes, was examined during the spring, summer, and fall in New Brunswick and during the winter along the coast of Massachusetts. Sixteen cestode species were recovered from ducks in New Brunswick and 6 of these were also found in ducks examined in Massachusetts during the winter. Changes in the cestode fauna are discussed in relation to the development of ducklings throughout the summer and the migration of these birds to the wintering grounds. These changes are discussed also in relation to changes in diet.
