Abstract
[Murine] thymosine fraction V was submitted to the same purification procedure as used for circulating thymic factor (FTS) isolation from pig serum: an FTS-like material was isolated from this fraction and shown to have similar activity, MW, charge and amino acid composition at FTS. These data, together with previous experiments showing the anti-FTS antibody binding to reticulo-epithelial cells, provide a direct argument in favor of the presence of FTS in the thymus. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
