Les Cancers Primitifs Du Foie:Etude Anatomo-Clinique

Abstract
The authors have studied 22 casies of primary cancer of the liver, which ropresent 0,62 % of the clinical observations with post-mortem examination and 3,13 % of the other cancers. Three fifths of these tumors were hepatoms (hepato-cellular carcinoma and hepato-cholangioma) and two fifths were biliary tumors (biliary carcinoma and cholangio-cellular carcinoma). 14 times on 22 they developed on cirrhotic livers. The anatomical and clinical features of the studied cases have been described. One case of primary cancer of the liver operated by Cogniaux, with a survival time of two years is related. This case shows the difficulty of clinical diagnosis when cirrhosis is lacking.
