Abstract
The resistance of [male] and [female] rats between the wts. of 30 and 400 gm. to Na amytal was determined. Up to 50-60 gm. no difference was noticed. In the higher weights the [male][male] were more resitant. Castration of the rats after this difference had appeared reduced their resistance to the drug nearer to that of [female][female]. If the animals, after injection of a lethal dose, were given 10 cc. of Ringer''s intraven. they were able to survive. With nembutal neither the sex difference nor the diminished effect of the drug through intraven. Ringer''s was observed. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
