Abstract
The Mandelstam iteration with appropriate cutoff is shown to be a practical technique for the study of strong-interaction dynamics in the framework of the strip approximation. Comparison with known potential (nonrelativistic) scattering problems shows that the method is accurate enough to allow workable numerical calculations. Calculations of single-channel relativistic scattering with an elementary potential are reported.
