Typhoid Typing in the Western States

Abstract
The typing method of Craigie and Yen is proving to be a valuable and sensitive tool in the control of typhoid fever. Properly applied, the method can be a useful adjunct to epidemiological studies. In a survey of 465 cultures submitted from 11 states, the typing method has yielded valuable information in numerous cases.
