Abstract
The prism dissociation technique used in optometric testing was adapted for use in clinical education with the Keystone Telebinocular as a test of ocular dominance. Dissociation allowed subjective comparison of the intensity (brightness and blackness) of targets seen simultaneously but separately by each eye. Differences between measures such as ocular sighting, the controlling eye and dissociation were evaluated using human subjects. Dissociation tested aspects of dominance different from those measured by the other tests. Comparisons demonstrated the independence of near-point and far-point findings for sighting tests. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
