Abstract
Methyl, benzyl, methoxymethyl, methylthiomethyl, methoxyethoxymethyl, and β-(trimethylsilyl)ethoxymethyl esters could be cleaved readily under mild conditions on treatment with AlCl3-N,N-dimethylaniline in CH2Cl2 to give parent carboxylic acids in high yields.Keywords
