Abstract
An apparatus is described the basic element of which is a microscope with a motor‐driven stage. The operator controls the direction and speed of motion by a steering wheel and an accelerator pedal and drives the track to be analyzed through a target. Range, grain density, and geometrical orientation of tracks, etc., are automatically recorded on charts. Methods of measurements and results are discussed. Keywords
