Abstract
The hepatic synthesis of cholesterol was studied in rats aged 6 weeks to 11 mos. using a biliary concn. of cholesterol as an index of this factor. The hepatic synthesis of cholesterol apparently depends upon the age of the animal, with a considerably greater synthesis in the immature (6-8 week-old) than in the mature rat (7-11 mos.).Keywords
