Abstract
The q-dependent magnetic susceptibility χ(q) and effective moment of heavy-fermion quasiparticles are studied at T=0 in the Zou-Anderson spin-orbit-coupling model for the simple cubic lattice. Antiferromagnetic (q=Q) correlations are shown to be dominantly enhanced by interband effects for relatively large quasiparticle fillings. The obtained moments 1.20 and 0.7 are in good agreement with the Zou-Anderson value and the experimental value for , respectively, but are in disagreement with the experimental values for and .
