Abstract
A case is reported of an adult male in whom the distal ventriculoperitoneal shunt tip migrated through the right inguinal canal into the scrotum. It perforated the scrotal skin, leading to an infection of the still draining shunt. Migration of ventriculoperitoneal shunts into the scrotum occurs occasionally in children but until now has not been reported in an adult with perforation of the scrotum. Keywords
