Abstract
The therapy of central nervous system infections is extremely difficult in the presence of foreign bodies and in situations where antibiotics are required which do not readily pass through the blood-subarachnoid barrier. A case of Klebsiella pneumoniae meningoventriculitis demonstrates these problems. The need for more information on the proper usage of antibiotics given intrathecally and intraventricularly is stressed. Keywords
