Abstract
Fetoscopy is an ultrasound-guided endoscopic procedure performed transabdominally under local anaesthesia. It provides access to the fetus for diagnostic indications (blood and tissue sampling and visualisation) and for therapeutic purposes such as blood transfusion. Furthermore it provides the opportunity for the study of the physiology of the human fetus and the pathophysiology of its various disease processes. Keywords
