Abstract
IT IS very common in x-ray examinations of the paranasal sinuses to find hypogenesis of one of the paranasal sinuses, or even agenesis of the frontal sinuses. The nonexistence of one of the maxillary sinuses is very rare. The panagenesia of the paranasal sinuses is exceptional. Searching through world literature about the matter, we were not able to find a single case of completely absent paranasal sinuses.1-8 As a matter of fact, medical literature is very scarce on the subject of agenasia, which hinders research in this area. The embryological studies about the paranasal cavities shows us that their primary point of formation is situated in the small embryonic gemmation budding of the nasal cavity's external wall, which is completely derived from the external nasal gemmation.
