Abstract
Calculations of the branching ratios and photoelectron angular distribution asymmetry parameters have been performed for the outer subshells of the noble gases. A pure coupled Dirac-Fock formalism was employed. The results are compared with experiment, where available, and the reasons for the various degrees of agreement are discussed. In particular, it is shown that the use of pure coupling leads to serious difficulties for low where coupling predominates.
