Adolescent sex and relationship addicts

Abstract
Adolescents can be just as addicted to sex and relationships as they can be to nicotine, alcohol and drugs, food, or gambling. Up until this point, most treatment has been focused on adolescents with chemical dependency. The purpose of this article is to identify the population of teenage sex and relationship addicts. Case examples are provided. The summaries include many of the adolescents' personal descriptions of their problems and their out-of-control behaviors with regard to sex and relationships. The conclusion comments about treatment and recovery.
