Abstract
Theoretical considerations pertinent to the design of the radio‐frequency acceleration system for the MURA 50‐MeV electron accelerator are presented. Parameters of the acceleration system are developed on the basis of these considerations. Theoretical limitations of the maximum stacked beam obtainable with this acceleration system are given. Keywords
