Abstract
An assessment of the dimensionality and reliability of the Self-report Trust Scale developed by MacDonald, Kessel, and Fuller in 1972 was made. Using 287 full-time employed adults as subjects, the initial confirmatory factor analysis of a one-factor solution was soundly rejected. Further analyses supported a two-factor solution with four items each. It is recommended that both dimensions (trust and suspicion) be investigated in research. Keywords
