Abstract
A number of dissociation channels in CCl2F2 and CCl3F have been observed during time-of-flight spectroscopy following electron impact excitation. Fluorine atoms in the 3s 4P5/2 state and chlorine molecules were observed in addition to atoms in Rydberg states of high principal quantum number. Many of the processes observed involve the production of molecular ions during two-fragment dissociations. Keywords
