Organic Reactions at High Pressure; The Effect of Pressure Change Upon Reaction Rates of Bimolecular Processes

Abstract
A pressure study has been performed by subjecting the four bimolecular reactions depicted in Scheme A to 1-15 kbar (0.1-1.5 GPa) pressures. Based on product yields, the rates of these reactions appear to be significantly enhanced under 4 kbar pressure and greatly enhanced under 10 to 15 kbar pressures.
