Abstract
Based on experimental data with improved accuracy, a new determination of the electric dipole moment function of the molecule HF in the X 1 Sigma + electronic state has been made. The new results are presented in the forms both of a power series, valid within the range of internuclear separation 0.69( R/10-10m(1.45, and of a rational function at least qualitatively valid at all larger internuclear distances. The rotational dependence of expectation values of the electric dipole moment operator is also investigated. Keywords
