Abstract
The first application of the Kemmer-Duffin-Petiau wave equation for spin-0 particles to meson-nucleus scattering is given. A relativistic impulse approximation using the Kemmer-Duffin-Petiau formalism is used to calculate meson-nucleus optical potentials. Comparison with the nonrelativistic impulse approximation is given. Keywords
