Abstract
Two new chromenol derivatives, compounds (5) and (6) were isolated from the brown alga Desmarestia menziessi and their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods. The already described compounds desmarestial (1), sargadiol I (3), plastoquinone (2) and its hydroquinone form, were also isolated. The results obtained from tests for cytotoxic and anthelmintic activity of all those compounds are reported. Keywords
