Abstract
With low voltage microradiography red blood cells and their precursors and the cytoplasm of eosinophiles are relatively radio-opaque. Myeloblasts are comparatively translucent. Neutrophiles, basophiles and lymphocytes are more translucent than eosinophiles. Thymocytes are relatively more radio-opaque than lymphocytes. Radio-opacity is a measure of density of the cell, a function of the protein content. Keywords
